About CBC

Cornerstone Baptist Church was started in 1980. Originally named the Hualapai Baptist Church, Pastor and Mrs. George Gilbert set out to start an independent and fundamental Baptist church in Northern Arizona.

The church has been organized for more than four decades as a light for the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in the Kingman area. Over the years, thousands of people have heard the gospel and lives have been changed for the glory of God as people were saved by His unwavering grace.

Over the decades, God has allowed us to build three buildings on our land. In 2010, we moved into a brand new worship center that is contemporarily decorated and designed to meet the needs of a growing church. In 2022, Pastor George retired from fulltime ministry and the church has retained Neil Hocker to be the full time pastor. Under Pastor Neil's leadership, the church is still seeing people saved and baptized on a regular basis. We invite you to attend one of our services each week, and build your life around the cornerstone, the solid rock of Jesus Christ.
